Lakeside Medical and COVID-19
We currently offer telephone or carpark appointments for all patients. If you are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, and/or gastro symptoms, please book a telephone or carpark appointment online.
If you would like to book in for a COVID-19 vaccination booster, please call reception. See eligibility groups below.
COVID-19 Vaccines
We have a Covid 19 booster vaccine available that is suitable for patients aged 18 years old and above. All adults can get a booster if it’s been 6 months or longer since your last COVID-19 booster or confirmed infection (whichever is most recent). All adults aged 75 years and older should receive an extra 2023 COVID-19 vaccine dose if six months have passed since their last dose. Booster doses are not recommended at this time for children and adolescents under 18 years of age who do not have any risk factors for severe COVID-19.
COVID-19 Testing
Please go to the QLD Health website for the current updated protocols [see link below]. We do NOT have facilities here to examine or test covid-19 patients but can direct you to the nearest dedicated respiratory clinic. Whilst waiting for your test result it is recommended that you self-isolate. If you are unwell please book a telephone appointment. Our doctors can make arrangements for you to be tested for COVID 19.
